Friends of Grove Park was founded in 2016, by a group of Weston-super-Mare residents who were concerned about antisocial behaviour and vandalism in the Grove Park. We wanted to work alongside the council to improve this beautiful victorian park for the local community and local wildlife. Friends of Grove Park aim to promote the social and emotional health and well-being of local residents, working together facilitating a community cohesion regardless of age, ethnic origin, ability, sex, belief or political affiliation. We hope to carry out and promote both environmental improvement and practical conservation. We would like to work to increase the number of people who use the park through community involvement and events. We also strive to form supportive links with other community groups.
We are a small, friendly and enthusiastic group of volunteers with big ideas for the park. We are proud of the work we have done in the past four years; helping to make Grove Park the family park you see today. We are always looking for people with enthusiasm, vision and a bit of spare time to join the team. Take a look at our Volunteers Page.
